Dehydration
So the wedding actually turned out nice. I didn't fuck up too much, I just took a lot of deep breaths and tried my hardest to concentrate on the words in front of me instead of "Holy shit! I am totally nervous and I cannot do this!!!" . But it was over in 12 minutes and 42 seconds, how quick is that for a wedding ceremony?! :p
After the ceremony, I hit the bar and pretty much hit that bartender up for drinks all evening. I was drinking screwdrivers (orange juice and vodka) all evening, along with the odd glass of Pinot Grigio, water and Spotted Cow. But by the end of the night, I wasn't drunk...oh no. I was TIRED. Fucking tired, I tell you! There's really not a lot to say about the wedding or anything, it was nice and the food was excellent but apart from that it was pretty uneventful. Actually, one of the most boring weddings I've ever been to. The DJ was crap and the only time he was good was hen he dug out Metallica records. It made me wish I had my iPod with me so I could hear some Clash or MSP or Pixies :p My feet were really hurting me and I seriously needed to get closer to home, so we got a lift with Phil. He playeda song by Kula Shaker on the way home that I'd not heard since I was about 15/16. So I was singing along, hehe :pBy the time we got back to the East Side of town, we hit up the Landmark for some good shit and I'm sitting at the bar nursing a Stoli and Coke...and feeling my eyes getting heavier and heavier...and then before I knew it I'd fallen asleep on the bar top. Luckily, the bartender was a good friend of mine, so he just kindly prodded me to wake up before someone threw water over me :p So for the next fifteen to twenty minutes I'm finishing my drink and trying to prop my eyes open with matchsticks.
This morning isn't too bad though. I slept for about seven hours, and got woken up by the doorbell. Someone at the wrong house :p But then by that point, I was awake so I decided to sit here and type. Think I'll go and make myself a cup of tea in a short while. I'm pretty thirsty, and I'm really not that hungover at all. Considering I'm not drunk :p
