Happy New Year!

Well, I forgot to post for the last week. So my New Year's Resolution (or one of two) is to post here more frequently. I sound like a right lazy arse, don't I? I mean, come on! How difficult is to post in a journal more than once a week? I really want to start posting once a day, but I guess we'll see how that goes.

New Years Eve was...umm...entertaining at the least. We (me and Abby) ended up at my Mother-in-law's house for about the fourth year running and again, I wished that I was out with some friends wearing something cute and sparkly and getting hidiously drunk- only to wake up with a monster-sized hangover in the morning. I'm really hoping that Nick changes jobs soon because he always has to work on NYE and I'd love for us to go out together and celebrate while Abby stopped with his Mom overnight or something. I know it sounds pretty sad to want to go out and get drunk...but that's what I'm used to doing on NYE! So to end a rather-increasingly boring story, I was at the in-laws house playing board games with them. We had snacks and lots of soda...but not a drop of alcohol! So when me and Abby got home later, me and Nick cracked open a bottle of champagne that was bought for us as a wedding gift a few years ago and we drank the lot! It was great!

And so now I'm back to my usual mundane lifestyle of waking up early, sitting in front of the computer in my pj's and drinking a cup of tea. I bought some tea at the supermarket called 'British Blend' that's made by Tetley's. It's not bad, you have to steep it for a while to get the flavour though. It's better than being charged some extortionate price to buy PG at the local import store though. My parents bought me a big box of PG over this summer and I finished off just before Xmas Day. And this stuff isn't bad (as I already said), so for about $2.70 it actually works out about the regular price I'd pay for a box of PG back home.

Well, I'm waffling. Guess I'm not quite awake yet. Off to feed my Neopets :p
