Laundry and Milestones
I've been catching up on the laundry recently, and I am proud to say now that it's all caught up. I've got a really good system now using the kitchen timer so I don't forget that I have laundry downstairs. I got four loads done last night and then another two done this afternoon. I'm feeling pretty proud of myself right now. I've also gotten the kitchen partially clean (swept the floor, cleaned the oven top, done the dishes, cleaned the sink area with the Ajax) so the house is feeling a lot cleaner now and my mother-in-law can come over and not make me feel guilty about having a grubby house :p
Abby learnt something new today, she can now throw stuff! I mean she's always been able to throw toys and beanbags...but now she's progressed to balls...and not just underarm anymore, she can now throw overarm- so I'd say that's quite an achievement! i'm trying to think of what I want to do for her birthday in a month and a half. I know that I want to have a party, and I want to have it here this year because I'm sick of traipsing to someone else's house to hold it there. This place may not be the biggest, but it's adequate for a party and I don't want to have to cart all of Abby's gifts home from somewhere else...and I can also decorate it how I want. So I'm looking through party books and stuff so I can get some ideas. Hmm....
We're all going out for lunch at a family member's house tomorrow. I have to bake a pie and I'm missing the apples for it! So I'm going to have to go out really fucking early in the morning to the grocery store and pick some up so I can get the pie baked and ready to go. Then when Abby goes down for her afternoon nap, I'll go for one too so I can be looking okay by the time we're supposed to leave. I hate being forced to make stuff for special occasions. Bah :(
