Bastard Phone Company
I officially hate AT&T. We paid them $109 on Friday and today they've cut off our phone. I guess that they want our blood or something. So I'm guessing that if we don't pay them soon, then they'll probably cut off our internet next- since it's the only thing that we have left that's still working. So we have no phone in the house which means that nobody can call us. Nick hasn't paid the Verizon bill in a while either, so they've cut him off from that too. I wish I had a job or someway of earning my own money so that I could pay the bills myself and then we wouldn't have these problems of disconnection. And yes, I can deal without a phone line because there's two pay phones within walking distance of the house so I can go outside and use the phone if I need to. But if they cut my Internet off, there will be hell to pay. I don't like using other people's computers and I hate not being able to just jump online whenever I feel like it. And it's too mother fucking cold outside to go to the library and sign up for a library card...I think I'm going to do that anyway because I really want to rent books out and use their computers if my Internet does go down...*sigh* Maybe that's what I should do today...hmm....
I know that Nick doesn't trust me with the cheque book or the credit cards, but I think he needs to try. I want to be trusted with some money so that I can do the budgeting in the house. That way, Nick doesn't spend all his money on things like beer and pool tournaments when the bills need to be paid or Abby needs things like bubble bath. I was also supposed to go out on this coming Wednesday, but I'm willing to sacrifice it now just so that we can get the phone line reconnected...
