Argh!

I was watching Oprah this evening, because I knew that Kate Winslet was going to be on. But Nick kept on flicking through the channels and so I ended up missing her :( I was pretty pissed after that, but now I've kinda calmed down a little bit. Eating pancakes for dinner always makes me happy, and it's one of Abby's favourite things to eat too.

The party the other day was fun. It was a scrapbooking party, where you buy supplies and get fun stuff to do and talk to people. I bought a pack of coloured paper and a letter set...so I'm trying to think of some ideas for it all. My problem is that I have all this stuff and I just don't have any ideas about what to do with it all. Everyone I've ever asked always says that I should just let me imagination run wild...but I just can't seem to. I have no problem when I'm faced with Photoshop or a sketch pad and a pencil...but when faced with coloured paper and a pile of photos...I just get proper confused :(

It's getting really cold here. I have to wear my hoodie inside the house because the central heating system isn't enough, it's seriously that cold outside. It's this time of year that I really miss living in a brick house rather than a timber one. The heat just seems to seep out of the woodwork and this house is never warm. Brick houses are very few and far between in this city though. The only brick buidings we really have are downtown and most of those aren't residential. I can't even take Abby to the park and she's getting frustrated looking at the same four walls all the time. Talking about Abby, she moved into her own big-girl bed the other day. The cot converted into a toddler bed, so I did that (with much swearing and stomping about) and Abby's got her own bed now that she can get out of if she needs to. And I think she's happy about that. This is the second night she's been in it and and she's not fallen out of bed yet (touch wood). We're going to get her some new bedding for her birthday so she feels like a proper big girl instead of sleeping with her baby bedding. I can't quite believe that it's only two months until her 2nd birthday. Wow.

I've just had an ambulance go past my house. It's gone past three times, followed by a fire engine and I'm wondering where they're going. It seems as though they're lost....:p
