My Sisters

May 18, 2004 23:31

Six years ago,
When I moved in,
You became my friend.
You introduced me to the others,
And showed me the ropes.

When school started,
Another joined the duo
And made it a trio.
Throughout the next three years,
We made it past what we thought
Were the worst times of our lives.

When it came time to go to a new school,
We took it on together.
The three of us against the world.
We met new people,
Made new friends.
But, still, we were together.
Always there for each other,
Whenever we were needed.

When again it was time for a new school,
We bonded together once again.
To take the world on for the years
That would be the best of our lives.

Again we made new friends
But, still, no matter what
We were together.
Whenever one, or two, of us were needed,
We were there.

Through all the bad times,
The deaths of family,
The moving of friends.
Through all the good times,
The births of babies.
We were the three musketeers.

And now, after six years,
Almost seven,
We are like sisters.
Together till the end.
Through anything imaginable.

Until finally,
We won’t need each other anymore.
But not in any time soon,
Will the three of us not need each other.

For we are sisters,
Together now and forever.

Given my mood as of late, I found this one while packing.....
