um.....
So, Action Logement - the "nightmare" site linked to social housing that we have been bidding on apartments through is studying our file for our latest bid - the "senior" one that I mentioned. They sent us an email requesting certain documents so we sent everything they needed this morning except for a few July ones as Gilles hasn't received them yet, and we let them know that.
What this means is they will study all of this and if they accept it, it will then go to the owner of the building. Then, that person will contact us to make an appointment to go see the place. This is IF the owner accepts our file.
I don't want to get my hopes up but this is the FIRST positive step at least in our region. We received these requests from other farther away regions that we finally relented and closed our accounts with because, realistically, we could never move that far away from Paris because of work. Having said that, the transportation in this town is not wonderful either. Yes, we would be relatively close to a train station but it would be 2 changes (3 trains) before getting into Paris. In addition, the train line near has early stopping times which means I can lose most of my night jobs but we really are not *there* yet...
I am nervous and anxious though....
