A friend of mine had this discussion with me. My friends are my friends because I can count on them to help me if I need it. They are awesome people to hang out with. But, if I dont think I could call them to help me, they fall into the "aquantance" range. And, unless they are a "friend" they are not getting that much help from me :-)

The friend that I was discussing this with said he was friends with people because they were fun to hang out with, and he wouldnt be mad if he had a problem and no one was able to help him. Different thoughts.

She's only still on the plan because I haven't had the money I needed to pay the early term. I'll be doing that with my tax refund.
I think you're definitely right and she is more of an acquaintance, if that. We've known each other so long, though, I hate to just write her off but I'm certainly not getting anything out of the relationship anymore.
