The Ass is at the Pen!
WHO: Luna Jones [The Ass], Miles Brennan [Glinda], Murdock Varletti [Aladdin] and OPEN!
WHAT: Auditions for her "Strange Love" music video & hanging out with everyone.
WHEN: Saturday afternoon, around the auditions*.
WHERE: The Pentamerone lounge or thereabouts.
RATING/STATUS: PG-13/In progress.
* I know from experience that written-out auditions are tricky in rpg threads, so we can just skip over them and describe them in passing. :D
Luna set up a table in the lounge of the Pentamerone with a big purple "AUDITIONS TODAY!" sign on it. It looked endearingly like a lemonade stand, except the seller was the twenty-year-old musician and not a little girl in pigtails. Even though Luna was in fact wearing pigtails, she did not exactly look like a child. She sat there in her light blue sundress, sipping from a bottle of Deer Park and beaming at anyone who came over. Her cheerful mood was obvious - she was glowing.
She simply had not expected so many people to be excited by her music video idea. She was fairly used to people telling her that her goals weren't realistic. And, indeed, sometimes they weren't. Yet this idea felt extremely right to her. The "Strange Love" song didn't really have anything to do with Dr. Strangelove, but it could definitely be implied. Especially because of the opening verse:
"When I woke up this morning
I did not expect to see
Storm clouds, mushroom clouds
Reigning over me
When I woke up this morning
I did not expect to view
A pile of dust there in my bed
Instead of seeing you."
The audition process was making her feel that strong sense of accomplishment and she was incredibly excited to get her project even more off the ground. It was like a hovering angel right now - once it was cast, the even more fun part could start. She was too excited to think of a good analogy right then, so she kept using this angel one when chatting with hopefuls. Even though it was a Saturday and she knew people were busy, she hoped to see many of the friends she had made over the Compendiums. She was even looking forward to seeing Murdock. A sure sign that it had been too long since she'd been to the Pen.
