[There is an old-fashioned top hat sitting on the doorstep. Underneath the hat, there is a piece of not paper, but parchment. It has been written with an old-fashioned ink pen and sealed with wax. Underneath the paper, a shilling dated 1888.]

It's refreshing to see that you haven't changed a bit. Ever the stubborn girl, aren't you?

Do you remember the night that we met? We had wine in my carriage and I spilled some on my coat. I gave you a shilling for your company and then I let you go. But that wasn't the last I saw of you, of course. I watched you all night.

Just like I'm watching you now. I know you aren't home. Don't think that imposing on your friends is going to keep me away from you.

Here's a shilling for your time, miss.
