WHO: Devin (Bluebeard) and Charles (The Steadfast Tin Soldier)
WHEN: Friday, early afternoon
WHERE: Telephone, then coffee shop(?)
WHAT: Devin calls Charles as promised, to arrange a meeting.
NOTE: Phone call, then meeting?
Devin, fairly immediately after being released on bail from the county jail, went home to shower with something other than scentless, brandless, dry soap and no shampoo. In fact, she took a ridiculously long bubble-bath and drank several glasses of wine. Once she was finished with the girly pampering, she got dressed - Dickies and a t-shirt beat out an orange jumpsuit any day - and listened to the messages on her machine.
After she'd listened to agents, friends, neighbors, and her parents tutting at her for a while, she found her phone and her Compendium, flipping back to that PI's number. She definitely wasn't wasting any time when it came to getting this investigation really going.
Devin keyed his number into her phone, hit send and stood, leafing through her mail from the past two weeks, while she waited for him to answer.
