Where: Around Lydia's school.
Rated: Uh, idk. G?

If there was ever a more annoying sound than fingernails on a chalkboard, it was probably Lydia and her friends squealing about skipping afternoon classes so they could spend time getting ready for Prom that night. Of course, they were all curious when Lydia said she was going to go without a date, but after she explained that she was 'in love' with 'a college guy', they understood. However, that still didn't stop her from wanting to look fabulous for everyone in attendance. Lydia didn't even care if she was voted Prom Queen anymore. She was happier right then than she had been in quite some time.

And, of course, it wasn't due to some 'college guy', it was due to Easy Raub.

Maybe if she had been less blinded by his looks and charm she wouldn't have agreed to keeping that package in the back of her car for a while. But, her darling Easy would never get her in trouble. So, she didn't even hesitate for one moment to agree with him, and just kept the box in her trunk, and she even promised to not open it (though she was dying to know what was inside, because it may have been a present for her, and Easy was just testing her) because she wanted to be the perfect girlfriend.

But the scene itself was of the gaggle of girls driving out of the school parking lot, jamming to Flo Rida's Low, on their way to the hair salon. They had only gotten a few minutes down the road when the sirens and lights started flashing behind her. "OH. MY. GOD. Lydiaaaaaaaa! The cops!" Lydia sucked in a sharp breath, and pulled the car over. "It's, like, totally okay. Like, we can just tell them that we, like, had permission to leave the school. I mean, like, they totally can't do anything to us, you know."

When she looked back in the rear view mirror there were three police cars, and guns were drawn. "GET OUT OF THE CAR WITH YOUR HANDS ABOVE YOUR HEAD!" The helpless cries of the girls echoed through the Mercedes and Lydia looked back in shock. "Oh my god. You've got to be kidding. For skipping class? We're SENIORS! We ca-" "I REPEAT," the police loudspeaker interrupted, "GET OUT OF THE CAR WITH YOUR HANDS ABOVE YOUR HEAD."

Lydia and her friends looked at each other in confusion, but then slowly they got out of the car, and did as they were instructed. The girls were forced to the side of the road away from the car and made to kneel in the grass. The cars that passed by slowed down to see what would cause such a ruckus, and a few of the other students that had skipped class let out loud cackles as they drove by.

The police were already going through the car, taking the registration out of the glove box and rooting through the trunk. "Hey!" Lydia shouted, "You can't just go through my things!" But she was promptly ignored as they dragged the box out that Easy had given her. There were calls put in on the police radio, along with "We've got it. Yes, we're bringing her in now."

Lydia looked to her friends, and a couple of them had started crying and begging the cops to let them go, there was prom tonight, and all that nonsense. "Get up," the cop ordered to them, and as Lydia started to stand, he looked at her, gun pointed right towards her face. "Not you." "What? What did I do?" "Are you Lydia Jansen?" "Uh, yeah?" "Is this your car?" "Like, yeah, it's totally mine." And without another word the handcuffs were out, "You have the right to remain silent."

The next few minutes passed in a blur, as she was handcuffed and thrown into the back of the police car. No matter what she said, no matter how hard she cried, it was as if the police weren't even listening to her after that. "Please, please, like it totally isn't mine. My boyfriend just asked me to hold on to it." "You can explain down at the station." "What? BUT THERE'S PROM TONIGHT!" And with her outburst, the police car pulled away, leaving her car and her friends behind.

So much for a wonderful prom experience.
