Pointless update is pointless.
Maybe I'll just stick to cute little inconsequential updates, for now.
- I really, really like my/our LGBT Art and Culture class. (Well, I say 'my' because I'm really the one who participates in it; other people do more of the work in other classes.)
- I really, really like Garrett popcorn; one of our housemates brought some in for the house. Yum.
- Going to Lands End with
oneiros is awesome, especially when you're snapping pretty pictures of the ocean and the forest and are lying on big rocks and benches listening to Au Revoir Simone and Imogen Heap and watching the waves and clouds go by. - Speaking of Au Revoir Simone, I love the song 'Through The Backyards'. It has this...timeless innocence to it, for some reason, and I could listen to it for ever.
- I am also rather in love with Imogen Heap's new album Ellipse, especially 'Bad Body Double' for some reason. And 'Little Bird'. (But I'm really too fond of twee things.)
- I wrote almost 8000 words in the course of just over two days. I was trying to do a three-day-novel thing, but I haven't got enough time for three days, but at least I was able to get some marathon-writing in. It's a weird chicklit-becomes-magical-realism thing, and an excuse for me to rave on about the topics I can't in other contexts. :P
- I sort of missed Dreamwidth; during my hiatus, I resorted to spamming Tumblr. (Well, I think I'll still do that once in a while, because it's fun, but still.)
- I've recently become quite fond of Cari Ann Wayman's photography. (And I realised where I'd seen some of the photos in some of those icons I see come from. Good work.)
- I changed my layout again; I was getting a bit bored with the old grey one. I'll probably get tired of this one soon as well; I haven't seen any layouts recently that have jumped out at me, and I haven't got enough experience editing Dreamwidth code layouts for me to make my own. I've done fairly decent LJ ones, but Dreamwidth CSS for its layouts is a bit different, so I'll just stick to taking others' and changing the colours and backgrounds round to fit me. I did find a lot of nice backgrounds to-day, so I might find a premade one and play around with it a bit.
