My penultimate post about happy things. I think I've never been a more regular poster than this week.
Things that made me happy today (part six)
* Having my third glass of mulled wine in three days, which makes everything just a tad more Christmassy.
* I saw this video about bulldozer ballet (yeah, that's right, bulldozer ballet) and I'm a changed woman.
* I discovered this new band, Hello Saferide, thanks to greensweaterlj. And they are just...awesome. Great lyrics about brothers with freckles on their pale bodies, about high school stalkers (because honestly, who has never googled the person they had a crush on?), the things people do out of loneliness, and so much more.
Today I went to one of those Christmas markets with my mother, my uncle and my grandmother only to run into one of my students. When something like that happens I always wonder which one of us finds it more embarrassing to be there and why it's always me. Someday I hope to find the ease and confidence real teachers strut around with.
