The Holiday

Dec 15, 2006 18:25

The Caldlow House has been beautifully decorated for the seasons. Wreaths and garlands and candles and a blanket of snow across the grounds. It all seems like something out of a postcard, with evergreens and soft light within the home.

In the salon is a beautiful evergreen Christmas tree, decorated tastefully, gifts beneath. On the table before the settee is a tray all set with tea, waiting for the guests to come, steaming hot, a welcome sight to those just out of the cold.

One of the ladies of the House is on the lawns, a dove on her finger, bundled up carefully and looking regal and confident here on her own soil as she awaits her company.

The holidays have begun, and she couldn't be more pleased than to spend them with those she cares most about.
