Today was an amazingly fun day.
We started off the day with storytime at a new bookstore near us. We met a local author and his family. The books all included a read along cd in which the children perform their characters in the story.
After the reading and some gratuitous duck feeding, we gave Froggy the choice of going home and riding bike or going to listen to some music. Predictably she chose the music. We headed over to the Workhouse. hiranu wanted to be there for a 5pm performance and I was concerned that Froggy would become bored given our 1pm arrival. I was so so wrong. The place was positively amazing. Between a quad for concerts and picnics, studios for dance, a classroom for glass blowing, a huge room of wheels for pot turning, there was not enough time to meet and talk to all neat artists demonstrating their work. My favorite was probably the fabric sculptor while Froggy probably liked the painter who invited her come paint with him the most. Watching her work side by side with him was the icing on a perfect day. hiranu is considering going back for another concert tomorrow night and fireworks.
