One Glance
Every strand of azure blue in his eyes reflected hope,
And she could see his wings emerge from his back,
She stared in awe as they fluttered in the midnight air.
The stars sang for him and she held her fists to her chest,
Afraid her heart would beat out of her rib cage.
He was ethereal; everything beyond this world.
She was almost afraid to keep staring,
Were her mortal eyes worthy of witnessing such beauty?
His lips were twtiching upwards,
And she could only stand back and ponder,
Where his thoughts were taking him.
It was when he glanced back,
Acknowledging her with those endeslly sky like eyes,
That she felt her limbs move on their own accord.
How dare he, steal her breath away like that.
Give it back to me.
With fingertips dipped in longing and adoration,
She reached up, and held the beauty of his face between her palms,
And lifted herself off the ground with a small tip toe,
And after a small whisper towards the heavens,
She placed the softness of his lips on hers.
And let her soul explode into fire works.
."Cheater".
