On your back all day is not okay.
I got rear-ended yesterday on my way to work. And really, if my car wasn't so shitty in the first place, you might be able to see the damage. But seeing as Peaches looks like a dried out turd on a bad stretch of road, she certainly doesn't look much worse. My trunk won't close now, but what does that matter?

When the guy hit me, the back of my head slammed into the headrest. Normally, I imagine that that would be pretty painless, but I had my hair up in one of those claw clips. So really, the headrest hit the clip and the clip slammed into the back of my head. That hurt pretty bad for about thirty minutes, but I didn't think much of it and I was just glad that the damage to me wasn't more severe.

I got to work and I was just a couple of minutes late, so I had to tell them why. The first thing everyone asked was if I was alright. I said I was fine just flustered and shaken. But about two hours into my shift, I turned to one of my managers and I said, "Huh. My back is starting to hurt a bit." Then about an hour later, my back was totally on fire. I couldn't bend down or lift anything. I was miserable, but I knew if I had my heating pad, I would be able to get the muscles to relax and I would be okay. One of the ladies I work with gave me some extra strength something or other. My back still twinged a bit, but at least I was able to move. Really, I was never very worried about it.

I woke up late this morning. I was supposed to get up kind of early-ish so my mom and I could see Little Miss Sunshine. I took some painkillers last night so that I would be able to sleep comfortably, but they conked me out and I slept through my alarm.

When I got up, I felt pretty okay. I was stiff, but there wasn't alot of pain. I called my mom and apologized. I sat down at the computer to look up movie times for tomorrow (she wants to go when there won't be alot of people) and we rescheduled. But the second I tried to get out of the computer chair, my whole back seized up. From my neck to right above my ass. And I'm out of the extra strength stuff, so I had to take regular Advil, which does nothing. I have my heating pad, but it's not big enough to accomadate my entire back.

Lame. What a waste of a day. I had a bunch of stuff I wanted to get done and now all I can do is sit in this computer chair and fuck around on the computer or lay on the couch and watch movies. (Which actually makes it sound like my day will be pretty alright.) This would be a perfect day to rent some flicks and catch up on my moviewatching. If I could move, that is.

Someone go rent me some movies.
