Menace or not, thank you for not allowing the birdie to become a kitty toy! Cardinals have a special place in my heart since it's my home state bird, AND they mate for life. The idea of anyone living without their mate is a little sad to me. Imagine the horror when my cat brought home a cardinal to me ON VALENTINE'S DAY one year when I was recently single!
Hey, long as it doesn't taunt the cat, it can live its happy little birdie life. But taunting little predators who live with big predators is not a Darwin-approved activity. I'm sure his mate would rather have had him home with her, not out hassling Mojo at dawn.
Of course, if it was some sort of stunt to impress a potential mate, I imagine it backfired when he fled before the wrath of Badger.
