An actual weekend?! I don't (often) get those in retail.

I have a weekend off. Unasked-for. For the first time in a long time.

Woo!

I asked for tomorrow off, because Sebastian has an important appointment for a doctor with a needle full of...well, if you're friends with him, you can find out on his journal. Otherwise I think, if you've been following along closely, you can guess what it is. Needless to say, he's excited and nervous. I'm excited and nervous too.

Then we have (most) of the rest of the weekend to spend together. It's been a long time since we've done that too. There looks to be a Costco run, including a major purchase of a big (but not gargantuan) LCD HD TV. I/We don't need the TV, but I have a PS3 with Blue-Ray capabilities and games that would play so much better at a higher resolution (and me not having to squint to read the damn text). And well, Sebastian loves his TV. I still need to contact Comcast, so I can pick up or they can get to me an HD cable box. My sister-in-law works for them and told me I'd need this change of equipment. Thankfully, HD only costs an extra $10 a month, so it won't be too much more money being forked over per month.

There's also a queer party this weekend I might attend. I've noticed that dating Sebastian has made me more of a social person. I'm still not terribly so. But I find myself wanting to go to more stuff and do more things and, just maybe, meet more people. I'm happy for this change. I've met some awesome people of late, that I find myself wanting to go and see them at various events. Now, if I could just get over that fear of calling people. I hates it.

And then, there's Mother's day. I need to put together my mom's gift. It's a gift card, to where else but where I work, and a mouse that has a space in the hand rest area for a picture. It even has a built-in light to go with it. My dad will enjoy it too, but I think I'll try to print up a picture from a recent time that will include my mom and Keira. It being Mother's day and all. Still need to get a card. She forgot about the symphony tickets she had for that day, so we'll have to go out to dinner instead of grilling out at home like she had first planned. That's okay by me, as it will likely include a trip to the Lemongrass Cafe. Tasty.
