This morning we had our first ever kids Christmas play at the Well. Last week Caed had told us he wasn't doing it so I wasn't sure what to expect. We got him excited last night and as we were walking in he was talking about his costume and how he was glad it was blue... but then we go in the door and everyone is "get costumes on." So he completly metled down and decided to not do it. During the practice he sat on Andy's lap or under his chair. Caed's cousins showed up along with his grandparents during the practice. His cousin Katey some how convinced him to do the play. So 5 mins before we have a costume on and he is in the back ready to go! Kira of course was happy with being an angel and only got shy one time. So I was very happy to have both my kids in the play and they both did an EXCELENT job - even with the 2 year old dancing at their feet and taking over the play!
Then we had lunch with the family who came - always nice to eat with inlaws.
Then we headed to build-a-bear. We had two $10 off coupons and one $5 off. We try to only go to BAB when its their birthday so we can really rack together the coupons and vouchers mailed to us throughout the year. We were able to get 2 new animals with sounds and I only spent $2 of my own money =) always nice.
Then on the way home Caed asks "so what happens if you don't believe in the Bible" - a convo we have had - and more about the fact that its important to believe in Jesus and why we believe and why we think its important. So then Caed asks "Do I have Jesus in my heart?" and just said "well, I don't know - do you?" and he said "Well I think I'm going to ask Him" I made him wait until we got home because this stuff always makes me teary and I needed to keep driving... so when we got home Caed prayed and asked Jesus into his heart (which sounds so strange to type out... but he did it...) He was even asking about getting baptised and if his dad could do it.. =) We called his Nanny right away and she was very happy as well!
Only bad part is I didn't get the nap I wanted and I'm getting conned into a bike ride -- bike ride does not equal a nap!!!
