I'm pausing to give a random shout-out to text-adventure games for teaching me to spell. I remember being stuck on The Crimson Crown for ages and *ages* because though I was giving the right command, I didn't know how to spell "sword." S-W-A-R-D was not working for some reason. :)

The same sort of thing (right idea, wrong execution) happened with the DS playing Trace Memory, when the solution was dead obvious (like everything else in that game), but I didn't realize you could close the system without turning it off.

I need a new text-adventure game. Most of the better ones online have radio-button answer options, which are less satisfing. Failing that, I need...what was it...Hotel Dusk? to appear in my hands free of charge so that I can see if it's better than Trace Memory without buying it or spending hours with the demo in the Nintendo store.

Or I could learn how to program my own text adventure game, after like four years of having it generally plotted and half written. :P

Or they could release Phantom Hourglass a little earlier and I could get obsessed with that instead...
