(no subject)
Okay - so here it is. Every year I get real bitter around the holidays. It has nothing to do with the excessively congested traffic or the excessively crowded stores or the holiday excess in general....
I get bitter because my birthday is on Christmas day and that's just about the worst day to ever be born. What can possibly make your birthday less special than knowing everyone else is getting presents that same day?
All that being said, I try to drown out all that bitterness with excessive drinking (ah, now that's what I call a good excess!). As a friend, you are welcome to join me in this holiday excess on the 23rd at The Manhattan Room in Philly (sorry it's so out of the way but Pat has a show booked so that's the bar I will be seated at as close to the tap as possible!) Hope to see you there after 9.
If you can't make that and your family has been shipped off to some remote desert island for the holidays, you are also welcome to join us on Christmas eve for my annual Christmas eve (watch me get my birthday beatings at midnight) blow-out! Party starts at 8:30. There will be beer in the kegerator, wine, and snackies. Be there or be somewhere better.
