Skittles, taste the rainbow....
It's a really long day when you come off of a four day wekeend and everyone of your clients are still on vacation so no one bothers to call or email.
So I guess it gives me some time to really think about how nice it will be to go home to my nice freshly painted downstairs! I think it sounds so much more frightening than it is, but Pat and I decided to go with a lot of really bright colors in muted shades - so we have basically turned our downstairs into a giant crayola coloring box....
Indoor Porch is Red wine
Front Foyer is Golden Yellow
Living Room is Granny Smith Apple Green
Recreation Room is Mango Orange (really scary sounding, but really great looking)
Office / Sunroom is grapevine Purple
The only color we are missing in a rainbow explosion is blue and believe me, if there were anywhere to put the 3 gallons of it that we bought, we would.... but it just isn't going to work. The kitchen and laundry room still need to be painted (what colors who the heck can say), and the poor dining room that was once so purdy is now dull in comparison with it's creamy walls.
By the way, we are having a painting party this Sunday - a little girls vs. boys. Pat and Carl are taking on the mster bedroom (which is already 98% stripped of the terrible wallpaper) and me and some of my girlfriends are taking on the guest bedroom (which is 3% stripped of the terrible wallpaper). Who will finish first.....to be continued.
