Saturday -

Michael found out on Thursday that Kat Von D would be at the Borders in Philadelphia for her book signing. I just had to go! He bought me the book on Friday at the Borders by his job. Ariel's last swimming class was Saturday morning...over by 11am. We were on the road by 11:15am. We got into Philly by 12:30pm and Michael dropped me off at the door and I went in and got my bracelet to wait for the book signing. Group G I found myself in. The book signing wouldn't even begin until 2pm. Sheesh! I just hoped that I would make it in to see her at all at this point. Michael parked the van and loaded Aurora and our stuff into the stroller and he and Ariel walked to where I was standing outside of the store. At least it was a gorgeous day! I was told since I was in group G I didn't need to line up until around 2pm. So we go to get lunch at a nearby pizza shop. Giovanni's I think it was. GOOD PIZZA and HUGE friggin' slices...just like NYC. You have to understand I'm not a Philly girl. I'm a NYC girl. My hubby though is a Philly boy. Between us two we have the two big cities covered. *LOL* I digress ... We get done eating and it's about 1:20pm so we go into Borders and hang out in the children's book section until it's time to line up for our group.

As I got in line, we were told that Kat would be taking a short break. Then I found out that she would only be signing until 4pm ... it was 3pm when they made that announcement. UGH! I just hoped that I was far enough up in the line to make the cut-off. I was getting tired of "waiting" too and so were my girls and of course Michael, but at least he was able to get up to the front area and see Kat a few times for some pics of her. When it was finally my turn, she was being rushed so badly I hardly had a chance to say HELLO yet alone anything else. She signed my book but it looks nothing like her "true" signature...oh well. But Kat shook my hand and said HI to me, said my name with a Spanish flare and then she talked to Ariel a bit. She asked her name and said that Ariel matches her name as it they are both pretty. Then I asked for a quick photo and she was being told to hurry so I got a pic with her but it's not the best. I look like a fat cow but Kat Von D was just beautiful! I'm glad I went.

On our way home...
We went to Shoo! in West Reading, PA after the book signing to see about ordering a pair of shoes that I have been wanting for quite some time now. I could have bought it from a couple of different websites I found it on but I love Shoo! and if I can give Victoria (the shop owner) my business I'm gonna'! Here's what I ordered...It's called the WITCH-08 and it's by Pleaser Shoes. Cost? $35 - SCORE! It was cheaper than any other place I had found online even. YES! Here they are:

Then of course I had to look around for other shoes that I liked because it's what I do when I am in Shoo! *LOL* Plus Michael gave me a "coupon" as a Valentine's Day gift "good for two pair of shoes". I found these on clearance...

I also had tried on these shoes previously...

But on the day I tried them on, I found them uncomfortable because my feet were swollen from another pair of shoes I had on way too long. But on this day, they were ROCKSTAR! They are totally going home with me, so I went to put back the clearance pair of shoes. However, because Victoria was happy that I came to her with a special order, she gave them to me for FREE! *squee*

So I came home with two pair of shoes and one pair on order! It indeed was a good day.

Sunday -

I did nothing, but read Kat Von D's book. The whole book! This is something I never did before. But then again her book isn't rocket science. It reads like a journal and was interesting and I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of hers.
