I'm glad I went to the doctor...

Since I've been sick since 12/21...first with a head cold, then with Laryngitis, and now finally I have Bronchitis. I'm on Amoxicillin now and am able to take Robitussin DM for my coughing. YAY! Something is better than nothing. Hopefully I'm on the road to recovery. My boss is pissed off though. I called out since the dr. suggested additional rest. Oh well. Have doctor note, will travel - or something like that. *shrug*

We went to dinner at The Olive Garden last night. (No cooking means resting, true?) MMmm MMmm MMmm Good. I had that chicken thing they have been advertising on TV lately. That new Five Cheese Stuffed Rigatoni with Chicken and Alfredo sauce. DEE-LISH! I highly recommend it. This dinner made my day. Up until that point it wasn't the best really.

See, earlier in the day, I had an emotional melt-down. I had an appointment at 11am to see Mulberry Child Care Center. Turns out they are full for the time I need to put Aurora in for care. I didn't tour the facility either. But I have been to it before (4 years ago when I was looking for care for Ariel). So they referred me to their sister school, KinderCare. I go over there (it's across the road quite literally) unannounced and well, the director was out, but they did offer to give me a tour. So I said, "Sure, I'd like to look around." The infant room looked like a prison camp to me. Cribs all lined up against the walls and the play things in the middle of the room. There were a few infants in their cribs looking out through the bars like they were in prison. However, there was calming music playing though which was one nice thing. But while I was there, one of the infant boys (found out he was 7 months old) was sitting in a Boppy-like ring on a mat on the floor and he was whimpering/crying and at no time did anyone make any attempt to calm him. I dunno. I left there and immediately started to cry. I don't want my Love Dove in a large daycare. No way, no how. I would rather pay $300/wk if I had to if it meant that she'd be like one of maybe 4 babies total. I immediately got depressed. *sigh* I am not going to see any more large daycares...end of story. (Did I mention that I have my period too which makes me even more emotional than normal?) I called my mother-in-law and she helped me feel better. I'm glad I have great in-laws. I don't know what I'd do without my MIL, Elise...my mom is of no use sometimes as much as we love each other. She just doesn't say things right and then we end up fighting most of the time even though she means well...you know what I mean? *sigh*

Later on in the afternoon, I did get to talk to one of the ladies that Miss Leanne had recommended. She couldn't really talk long as it was the time for the kids to wake up from their nap. Off-hand she couldn't remember if she would be able to take Aurora in March but would check her book and call me back tomorrow (which is today as I post this). But after talking with her, I felt better too. She seems to have the same type of set-up like Leanne's place was. Small but decent. I'm hoping to hear good news so that way we can go there and meet with her today after Michael gets home from work. *keeps fingers crossed* Oh and the price is right too. $160/wk while she's under 1 year old. Then after that, she'd be only $130/wk. *prays real hard to God that she's available to take Aurora*

Now about Ariel...We went to The Goddard School to have our first Parent/Teacher meeting with Miss Linda. It was funny to hear that Ariel was "being especially good today" knowing that we were coming to see her teacher. Her report card was AWESOME! Ariel is a "typical 4 year old" and they all try to boss each other but the thing is...they are all 4 in her class so no one allows the bossyness to happen even though they all try. *LOL* They will be able to start taking "field trips" on the bus now since all the kids are now 4 years of age. Needless to say, Ariel's excited about this. All in all, our kidlet is doing very well and is a great contribution to the class. YAY!

So that was my day and such. I'm going back to sleep for an hour or so before I have to get Ariel up. I had been awakened by Aurora who wanted to eat already at 3:30 this morning. Ugh.
