Why quackery makes me angry
I ranted earlier about the jackass who thinks all doctors are only in it for the money and therefore hasn't vaccinated his daughters and doesn't think anyone else should, either. Today I ran across this statement from another jackass who's selling yet another kind of snake oil (this one is supposed to cure "AIDS, hepatitis A,B and C, malaria, herpes, TB, most cancer and many more of mankind’s worse diseases"):
Stop the drugs immediately. HIV is not dangerous. It does not cause AIDS. What causes AIDS is the drugs that you are taking, each one is extremely poisonous. That causes AIDS.
Tell that to the patients who've managed to stay at the HIV-positive stage without developing full-blown AIDS because of the drug cocktails they've been taking. Tell it to all the patients who've been able to live with HIV/AIDS years longer than their predecessors.
