Although Hero much, much prefers the warm weather, the snow is still utterly enchanting. She's standing outside on the Mansion's front steps, just standing, and letting it fall on her hair.

Gareth is only passing in the Mansion's general vicinity, but, seeing someone on the steps, hails them. He then realizes just who it is and tries quickly to turn and get out of sight before she is forced to break her promise and reply.

Too late! She has already dropped into a curtsy.

He tries to turn to offer a bow in return, but loses his footing on a slick patch and slips.

Immediately Hero runs to him, falling on her knees beside him. "My lord!"

"I'm okay," he says quickly, blushing rather.

[fair_hero]

"O, art thou?"

[sirbeaumains]

"Yeah, yeah. You should-- you're going to get your dress all wet."

[fair_hero]

"'Tis no matter," she says, blushing a little at the contradiction.

[sirbeaumains]

"Of course it is. You'll be all wet and... stuff."

[fair_hero]

"But an thou wast hurt--"

[sirbeaumains]

"No, it's okay! It's--" He laughs a little. "Now we're just both sitting here getting wet."

[fair_hero]

"Wilt thou come in, my lord?"

[sirbeaumains]

He hesitates. "Will-- will your lord mind?"

[fair_hero]

Stubbornly, "I have already disobeyed him, and thou shouldst be warm."

[sirbeaumains]

"Then I shouldn't get you into further trouble," Gareth says. "I thank you, my lady, but I should just go." He starts to stand, but stumbles.

[fair_hero]

Hero immediately offers her shoulder to catch him. "At least thou must go within and sit, my lord, at least that--!"
