(But not really.)
My cold/flu/thing is improving. My nose is still stuffy, the cough is still here, and I'm a little hoarse. I wasn't happy about cancelling my singing lesson yesterday, but I had no choice. I'm in no condition to sing.
My class at LCR is dealing with my predicament. I can't raise my voice much louder than normal speaking tone, so it is difficult to get (and keep) their attention. Because of that, this has been an extremely difficult week for both them and me.
However, there have been good points:
1. Our trip to the Antique Carousel Workshop has been cancelled and replaced with going to the theatre to see "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." Don't know when, but we're happy about it. (And since it's local, I'll actually be able to go on this trip.)
...and speaking of that...
2. One of my kids' mothers is a very fun and nice lady who has chaperoned for me before and is going with us to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next week. When I told her I may not be coming due to not enough children and state regulations (I can explain in depth, if you'd like), she wasn't too happy to hear that. She really likes me and thinks that it is unfair that I cannot go on trips with my own class. So, she's going to tell our director that if I can't come then she won't chaperone the trip. (I hope it works. I really want to go on the trips.)
So, that's all from me for now. Will write later.
Ciao!
