Collegians Camp is over.
Courtney, our New York choreographer, is absolutely amazing. I loved working with her so much. For the end of the Hairspray medley when we sing, "You Can't Stop the Beat," she taught us the choreography that they used on Broadway! I learned Broadway choreography! The best news is that she said she'd write a recommendation letter for me that I can place in my portfolio. My goal for this year is to get letters from Courtney (dance), Eva (singing), and Dr. G (acting) that I can eventually use when I apply for theatre positions. It's good to be well-rounded.
After another night of waking up in the middle of the night, I'm slowly starting to feel better. I must be...after all, I got to my first class today half an hour early, which explains why I'm writing this.
I made myself a goal's list for the week...things to do to keep my mind active and to keep me busy. I actually have to be at South Pacific this week, so I want to try to either bring things to do or have done things before I go. After all, my prospectus for my seminar is due in two weeks...right when the Collegians perform for the first time. (Aren't those scary thoughts?)
I'm still not back to 100% yet, but I'm on my way there. As with most things, it's just going to take a little time and a little confidence. I am so grateful for my friends who have been standing behind me lately...it's a wonderful feeling to have support.
My goal right now is to get myself back to where I was this time last week...ideally even better. I know that going home this weekend will really help...Mike and I get to go celebrate his accomplishments, I'm doing my best to hang out with Katie, and I'll get to see Costina for our birthdays. :D Just what I need.
...And for some odd reason, I'm really up for a movie night.
