"Blue skies shining at me."

*scoff and guffaw*  Yeah, right.

For those of you who care, this is my medical update.

In case you were unaware, I got sick the last day of spring break (last Friday).  Stuffy, runny nose, congestion and coughing.  Oh, joy.  I drove myself back to campus because I can't afford to miss classes or rehearsals.

By yesterday, I thought things were better.  I finally got a full night's sleep and the congestions was gone.

Then came the earaches.  Imagine the feeling of being underwater...like someone was blowing a balloon inside of your ear, causing all of the pressure to build up.  Sleeping on your side is impossible because it hurts too much.  Your suitemate is a suiteheart (lol) and runs out to buy you eardrops while you sit and watch Miss Tennessee become the next Miss USA.  You go to bed at 2am and are up two hours later.  You go out into the living room and make a bed on the couch so you don't wake up your roommate.  Popping in a movie, you have to put on the captions because you can't hear the TV.  you fall asleep through it at odd times.  Your left ear has begun to discharge.  You sleep with a cotton ball in your left ear that hurts like a bitch.

At 11am, you wake up in tears.  You call your mom because she knows what to do.  Luckily, your dad is in Toledo and easily swings by campus to pick you up and bring you home.  It's a nice change of pace because you don't see your dad as often as you used to.

My mom took me to Urgent Care when I got home.  I have a high blood pressue and a fever.  They tested me for strep and I came back negative.  However, I have two very serious ear infections due to two ruptured ear drums, causing the discharge now in both ears.  Most of the time, this heals normally.  However, in a few, fun instances, there is a chance for hearing loss.

I'm at home until at least Monday, probably through Tuesday.  I'm going to my doctor later in the week to make sure my ears are healing normally.

Until then, I am missing rehearsals for my show that I can't afford to miss.
I am missing at least one day of student teaching that I cannot make up.
I am missing a project in my Intro to China class that I was supposed to help with.

I haven't been in this much pain in ages.  It fucking hurts so much.

I am praying that I will get to see Mike while I am home, even for only five minutes.  Just to see his smile.  I miss him so much.

Well, I'm going to try to get some sleep.

G'night all.  And best wishes to your heath.
