I'm walkin' on sunshine...finally!
Things are slowly beginning to look up, and I am glad. Here is what is looking up.
1. Abby is coming over Tuesday and is spending the night! My mom can't wait to meet her and I'm happy that we'll have two whole days to hang out and go shopping for campus. And Cassandra is going to be in town, too! Yay!
2. Cassandra is getting an apartment in Cleveland!! She'll finally be in town. And she's moving in before I go back to campus, which is wonderful.
3. I've actually started to make progress reading "Blood Done Signed my Name." I'm still clueless as to what is going on and have no idea how I'm going to teach it, but it's progress!
4. Last night, I read part of the script for "The Secret Garden" in my best Yorkshire dialect. I don't think it sounds that bad. With enough practice and confidence, I think I might do well at these auditions.
5. I'm debating between very few songs for my audition piece. I need to call Janine, but I have a good idea in mind.
6. Jessie and I have been having one amazing summer. We've only hung out twice, but each time we find out so much more that we have in common and how alike we are. I'm so thankful for her. She's a doll and I adore her.
7. "Whose Line is it Anyway?" is finally making progress!! People are answering my e-mails and I've been making plans with others. I'm so happy with this. I'm taking charge of something and I think it is going to work.
8. Cheeseball that I am, I've been talking with incoming freshmen on Facebook and they are really nice. I'm looking forward to meeting them.
9. Orientation is just around the corner...and with that comes shopping with Abby (and possibly Cassandra and Leslie) and a night out with Davey, Jessie, David, and Seth. Can't wait!
10. Seth and I are going to see John Spahr and Dezzie in "Noises Off" the first day I come back for orientation. I'm so excited to see it and to spend more time with him.
And, most importanty....
...the more I type, the closer it gets to the school year and the closer I get to seeing everyone!!!
