And so vacation is coming to a close. Since this is my last week of freedom, I'm trying to do more than just sit around the house. And I think I'm succeeding.
Tuesday: I spent the day with Justine, Robyn, Devon, and Rachel. Went to see "Brokeback Mountain," hit Great Northern and Kohl's, and went to Mitchell's for ice cream. I bought a new shirt that I adore, another celtic CD, and an oriental wall plaque for my room. :) We had a blast.
Today: I spend the day with Mike. We hung out at his house for a bit, went to Great Northern for shopping and dinner and went to go see "King Kong." My Christmas shopping is now nearly complete. (Finally!)
I really don't have too many plans for the rest of the week. I'm trying to set up a sleepover/hangout day with Katie, but I don't think it's going to happen. My cousin Stephanie might sleepover on Friday, but that too is a stretch. I want to go visit the day care to say hi to the kids and ensure that I have a job this summer. (If not, time to start applying.) And, of course, packing and updating my ipod for the trip. I think I'll be back around mid-afternoon on Sunday.
Oh, I got an e-mail from Mrs. Sangregory today (one of my EDU teachers). Apparently our TR 9:30-11am class is now a R 8-11am class. I thought two hours of Dr. Corley was bad enough...but now a 3 hour course...and at 8am! I've never had a class with Mrs. Sangregory, but I've met her and she seems nice, so hopefully this won't be too bad. (Maybe she'll be like Dr. Stein and let us out halfway though class.)
"The Winter's Tale" auditions are on Monday...I'm getting a little excited, but I'm also dreading it. I'm worried that I won't get a part because there are few parts for females in this show. (I've got a part in mind...) If I don't make it, I'll ask John if I can stage manage for my CTA 219 credit...but I would really prefer to be IN the show...especially since the part I would like is very similar to my person. *sighs* Always getting frosty for these...keep your fingers crossed for me!
The good news is that I'll get to spend a week with everyone in Chicago the day after the auditions. Lots of moral support...one way or the other.
Oh...and new LJ icons because I was bored.
Ciao!
