I Promised an Update

So, I'm back at the Berg. And after that first rough night, things are going very well.

I've been so happy to see familiar faces. As soon as I see someone I know, I am most always rushing up to give them a hug. So far, I've seen (aside from the OLs) Davey, Patrick, Kimberly, Matt, Abby, Abbey, Marissa, Kyle, and Jim. I'm impatiently waiting for the rest of the week to get here so I can see everyone else.

"Threepenny Opera" auditions are next Monday and Tuesday at 7pm. Vocally, I feel very prepared for the auditions. I've been singing my piece over and over. I decided I'm going to tell the accompianist to play only the chords, like Janine suggested. (I haven't heard the whole piece yet and we're afraid that if I wait to hear it for the first time at the auditions that I'm going to panic.) However, since I left my script at home, I have to wait for my mom to mail it to me before I can reread it. I still haven't heard the score for the show yet. Stupid Cuyahoga Community Library and their false directory advertising....grr.

The nights (except the first) have been pretty eventful. Monday night I went to Hoernemann with Abby, Matt, and Abbey. Then, Abbey, Matt, and I had a worldwind tour of Wal-Mart, Staples, and a quick stop at the Big Dipper before coming back here, where we relaxed with Simpsons and WLIIA.

Last night, Jackie and I spent 2 1/2 hours putting the freshmen into their family groups. By the time we were done, Hoernemann was closed and we were starving, so we headed to Long John Silver's and Wendy's and then came back here for more WLIIA.

Tonight we have a pizza party for the freshmen movers and then Matt, Abby, and I are renting "Robin Williams: Live on Broadway" because I haven't seen it yet.

The freshmen (who aren't up here already) move in tomorrow. The upperclassmen (who aren't up here already) move in Saturday. Classes being Monday. Auditions are Monday and Tuesday.

Sounds like fun.
