“You shoulders were so broad,” Oops, typo!
This was really wonderful, Kris! The narrative flowed really well, and I liked the opening and closing of it, it really brought the whole thing in full circle.

(also, how does Heracles know that they never get together? Or is he just projecting?)
....I wonder what would have been the story if they were asked to talk about the future.
I WANT YOU TO WRITE MORE OF THIS, YOU HEAR?
(I can't choose my favorite - the WWII one, the Greek War of Independence one, Heracles-the-sailor, Janissaries - I can't even. They're all beautiful.)

Seconding valmora, could not possibly choose a favorite or any single one if asked to pick one for expansion. Gorgeous idea, both this conversation and. Like. All in a row like this it began feeling like instead of a list of possible scenarios, all of the human lives were one cohesive unit. So that if they had been human they would have had all the lives anyway. In a...reincarnation cycle or...something.
and Hungary is still scheming together male romances alsdjkf loooove

Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssss that was totally what I had in my brain \*o*/ There was this movie with Robin Williams and Cuba Gooding Jr. some years ago about death and reincarnation and finding your loved ones even in another lifetime.
Fuck, I should have incorporated that into this somehow. NEXT TIME...!

I love your writing, as usual. I especially loved the Janissary bit, but all of them were quite wonderful. <3
I might be able to be more coherent later, but I doubt it. Lets just leave it at that it was wonderful, and though real life happens and is very important, I'm very glad you were able to write this.
