Ich Liebe Aachen
As always its been sometime since ive written. I had almost entirley abandoned this journal and kept a tangible log of my life. This was stolen from me not too many days ago, but im getting ahead of myself. To catch up from my last entry the canoeing trip was great,Myself,Tommy and Devin in the wilderness conquering the north fork of the shanendoah river and developing an appreciation for how beautiful virgina is. I had the privlage of singing in the National Cathedral which is awe inspiring to say the least.I then made the momumental step of graduating from highschool, its surreal really no longer in the comfertable/obnoxious cycle of school years and summer. College orientation came around the first weeks of July, the accents are thick in Long Island as most of the population is either jewish or italian, ill be going to school with all sorts of rich fran dresher's.
On the twentieth of July I departed for Brussels, Belgium and made a short trop from there to Aachen Germany. Im currently in my third week here and have just returned from a four day trip in Berlin. A beer festival in Berlin with over 2,500 beers from around the world kept me in high spirits as i was in awe of how very modern Berlin is. If youd like to see the future simply visit the sony center there. The skylight changes colors as blue beams of light come from the ground. My book bag was stolen from under a table while in Berlin. Ive lost cds, books and mywrittenjournal i was keeping while over here. Returning from Berlin over 50% of the exchange kids including myself came down with some sort of food poisoning resulting in me vomiting for about 8 hours solid.
I leave tommrow for paris, excited to finally see the city ive so often read about. I cant stand being so breif on so many life altering experiences, im simply trying to replace what was lost to me. Ill return to the states monday of next week and have thereafter 19 days till i leave for college.
Growing up so fast, i remember days where i couldnt wait to be just a little older.-goodnight
