...Oh, this is very interesting. I wonder why they left me with a book? They must have not been kidnappers at all. Surely this is all an accident ( Read more... )

You're speaking of binding a...soul to an inanimate object? [ That makes him shiver a little. ] The Malnosso are cruel but I don't think even they would do such a thing, so, no it's nothing like that at all.

As for where you are this is Luceti.

It is the worst thing one can do to a once living being, in my own opinion, so I am pleased it is not the case in this town.

I certainly have to agree. Why anyone would do such a thing however is beyond me. [ He'll give a small hum before continuing. ]

You'll find Luceti to be a...rough fit the first few months. But you'll get used to it after awhile, the people here are very willing to offer assitance.

I do not mind enduring hardship. And some will seek the advantages of any technology for victory over their enemies, uncaring of the cost to those they trample in achieving it.

I wish I could share the same sentiment, but Luceti has been one long...hardship. Surely it makes you stronger but still the things this place has done to people. [ He gives a tired sigh and if you could see him he'd be pinching the bridge of his nose with a forefinger and thumb. ]

It's not right what they do to us here and I'm afraid to say that they don't seem to care. I'm not one for fighting; I rather talk things out civilly, you know?

A worthy solution to any problem is amicable discussion. There is no shame in preferring talking to fighting; I wish all problems could be solved thus.

But it requires cooperation on both sides. Something I don't think the Malnosso are keen on giving. The saying actions speak louder than words only makes such a solution harder to obtain. [ Another sigh. ]

Oh! I'm forgetting my manners again! [ He does that a lot, derp. ] What's your name miss? I'm Helios Sprensonne.

I am Isa, Visimetuo of bad fortune. I hope today finds you well, sir Helios.

Ah, bad fortune? [ He sounds very curious at that name. ] You as well, Isa! Thank you. Hm. Speaking of finding if you need any help finding anything in the village feel free to ask. You--have found the village, correct?

Yes, I have done so now, thanks to the help from others. The town itself may not be kind, but the people here are.

It is my title, as one who can affect the probability of actions.

That's one of the saving graces of Luceti you'll find out. Everyone here is very amicable towards one another. [ Though there are the few bad ones around. ]

You can affect someone's luck you mean? Ha! That's fascinating!

I find it useful, at times. Do you have any such powers of your own?

I can imagine so. Bad luck, hm. [ That takes him by surprise, usually he would be eager to say no. But being in Luceti for a little over a year and the open-mindedness of people here has made him more open, that's for sure. ]

I have a good few, nothing affecting luck or any such thing. Though there are spells which make it easy to manipulate it.

I am quite new to the control of my abilities. If you ever feel the need to share your knowledge, I would be most eager to learn from you.

We all are at one point or another. But that's why practice makes perfect! I wouldn't mind that at all! There's also a school here which teaches classes on magic and such, you're certainly welcome to join.

A school?

[She seems oddly excited to hear of this.]

Yes, I would be so happy to join you all in learning.
