A man lives his daily life constantly in agonizing pain and decides to attempt suicide, yet he is the one who is now deemed selfish because he has a family. Does this seem justified to you

No. I don't. Unless he didn't try to make the pain go away, and all attempts failed, I seriously don't believe in torture. People always shoot their dogs if they get run over by a truck and the dogs are still alive. Its funny how people are quick to pull the gun out then for the dog because they don't want their dog to feel the pain, but the poor human to which they love(hopefully as much) has to live through it? Fuck that shit, the family is selfish.
Sad comparison but merely truthful.
I would prefer someone pull the plug on me if I was in constant nonstop pain every day, just thinking about it hurts.
Now, here is what I believe, for the people who constantly say it is selfish of the one who commits suicide(and yes, I am not going to be happy if someone I love does it, of course but isn't it selfish of the people who "loved" that person to call them selfish? Do they even bother to review what they did to that person, walk through that persons shoes to really see how they felt about life? The pain they suffered through? No. People never take other peoples aspects into consideration, not fully.
If one of my loved ones died because they committed suicide I would feel hurt, but I would hope that they felt happier. It's not for me to judge them, and if they couldn't handle it, I would eventually understand. Maybe not right away, but I'd try.
