a conversation I just had with a guy on okcupid
Guy:hi
Me:Hey
Guy:how are you doing?
Me:Pretty good. how are you?
Guy:not bad
Guy:how is this site going for you?
Me:All right. how about you?
Guy:it's alrightw
Guy:why did you join?
Me:Meet some new people, maybe find someone to date, but it wasn't necessarily the main goal. you?
Guy:to meet a girl to spend time with
Guy:are you bi or bi-curious?
Me:I'm not, no. Why?
Guy:just wondering
Me:I'm pretty sure my profile says straight..
Me:would it matter if i was?
Guy:no, I prefer bi girls
Me:why?
Guy:they seem more open, and they can appreciate girls like I do
Me:there's plenty of straight girls who can appreciate girls.
Guy:if you say so
Me:I've made out with women in the past, but I in no way consider myself bi.
Me:I know when a woman is attractive.
Guy:nice
Me:It's kind of funny that you like bi women because they're more open, but that statement in itself makes you seem very closed.
Guy:gee, thanks
Me:Well you basically called me closed minded earlier for the sole reason of me not being bisexual.
Guy:think what you want
Me:And you as well. I'm just pointing out an inconsistancy in your logic.
Guy:whatever
Me:It might be a better method to try and get to know a person to figure out if they're closed or open minded instead of assuming it based on their sexuality.
Guy:whatever you say
It makes me angry when people make assumptions about your personality based on your sexuality. Honestly he's not worth it, and obviously wasn't open to anything I said. I think the real reason he likes bi women is he thinks it'll increase the chances of him being in a lady sandwich. But to say just because someone is bisexual means they're automatically more open minded... while I will agree that a majority are, I still hate the assumption. Or to assume just because I'm straight means I'm not open minded, and I think that's what bothered me more than thinking that bisexual women are more open minded.
