PSA: Books

Feb 12, 2017 18:50

Samhain Publishing an LGBT romance online publisher is closing down on February the 28th (OK, more G than any of the other letters but that's a rant for a different day) and they have a 50% sale on everything. A few of the authors I follow have already said that Samhain has promised full royalty payments and that they trust them to honour that promise (unlike certain other online romance publishers...yet another rant for yet another day) and that they encourage their readers to buy books if they feel like it. So I thought I pass this on in case any of you is interested.

Some shout out to some authors there:

Josh Lanyon. Now I wasn't as overwhelmed by some of her newer works but overall I still enjoy them. (From the ones they have I just read All She Wrote which I loved a lot...and now I got The Dark Farewell because I can never resist a book set in the 20s)
KJ Charles. Admittedly I haven't yet read anything by her, I only follow her on twitter where she's hilarious and I've been meaning to try out her Charm of Magpie Series for ages (Victorian London! Magic!) so I took the opportunity and got the first one (The Magpie Lord)
Charlie Cochrane. Her Cambridge Fellows Series is a really lovely cozy mystery series set in the Edwardian Era (admittedly with some really weird sex-metaphors on occasions...). The First is Lessons in Love.
Kaje Harper. Another author I really like though Samhain just has 3 of her contemporary romances which just isn't my genre (either give my historical romance or throw a murder in to entertain me...ehem). I have read The Rebuilding Year, though (which sadly has a for her books untypical lack of likable female characters).
