[Rapunzel's seen blood like this twice now in Somarium, but it never stops being awful and she never stops wanting to help. and this is still worse than the two other times she's seen someone horribly injured. she's covering her mouth with her hands]

Rapunzel...

[He gives the blond an unreadable gaze, as if he's fighting something within him, like the false hope that something can truly be done here. But then he looks away from the feed, obviously at Tifa and he swallows slowly before he shakes his head. There's too much blood on the ground and her abdomen looks like it's been ripped apart. ....Unless you can bring back the dead, I don't think there's anything that can be done...

[now this she hasn't seen. there's a long, long pause, then she swallows and speaks quietly.]

[He sees her expression change and he mentally slaps his forehead. Obviously, Rapunzel thought Tifa was still alive. He nods slowly, giving her a small apologetic look.]

Yes....I'm sorry, Rapunzel. [He wasn't even aware the two girls knew each other. Clearly, if given a second chance, he'll need to know his employee better.]

[they didn't know each other, in fact, but Rapunzel has never seen a dead body. ever. it's the simple matter that there's been a loss of life that stuns her.]

[Rapunzel's struggling a bit. she really doesn't know what to do or say here, though she wants to help. she can only imagine how upset he must be if she's upset simply by the thought of its happening to anyone.]

[It's a lie, obviously but Desmond is not used to be in need of comfort. he just usually simply shrugs, but lately life is throwing him more and more curved balls and it's getting harder and harder to not let it bring him down. But Desmond notices how she seems to struggle and he gives her a concerned look]
