[well, if it isn't Desmond. Now Isabelle's really quite curious as to a) how he got in there and b) why's he's in there. So, instead of calling him back, she merely creeps down the hallway, silent as only someone part-Angel can be, and leans in the doorway, arms crossed over her chest.]
[a) Through the window. After the last attack of the Noctarae at the end of last January, he knows where Jessamine's room is in the mansion, having climbed down her window after spending the night in her bed having nightmares because of the wound he had sustained then. Whatever you're thinking, Izzy, it wasn't as nice as you may think. And b) he came to check on Jessie because he's a friend and he's concerned about seeing her sleep for so long.
Despite the young woman being silent, Desmond's developing Assassin's senses hear her and he turns around in time to see her lean against the doorway. His lips thin out in annoyance before he shakes his head. It could have been worse: it could have been Jace walking on him]
[Izzy doesn't believe your 'friend' spiel. At all. But she'll roll with it.]
Yeah, last time I checked.
How'd you get in the window, anyway? They're kind of high. [she would know, after all. She's climbed out them before to visit Irial. Never mind that she's perceptive - there's only really one way in, otherwise someone would have heard.]
So you're admitting that you just kind of creep into girls' rooms when they're sleeping? Or is Jessie here a special one? Either way, I'm not sure it's the best thing to admit.
[she continues grinning. She has three brothers, man. She knows the tricks of talking people into corners.]
[No need to be good at that, Desmond is more than capable to talk himself in his own corner. His palm meets this forehead and he slowly runs his hand down his face. Goddammit Isabelle, stop twisting his words around.]
I was just concerned, all right? It wasn't like Jessamine to not pick up her calls, especially after a few days.
[He almost adds that the first time he got in her room, he actually found her asleep on her lounging chair, a book opened on her lap. Isabelle really doesn't need to know that he might have panicked a little bit when the blond didn't wake when he called after her. When he realized that Jessamine was having one of those sleep coma, Desmond had moved her from her chair to her bed.]
[Actually, it's the truth. And the question is nothing Isabelle should be expecting]
I'm wondering if she knows a child named Alice. They're both from the era and from England as well.
[But most importantly, he wants to know if the blond knows any activity the child would like to do since he got stuck with the job of fulfilling his Gramps' promise to the child.]
[yeah, that's definitely not what she expected. Izzy just blinks once or twice, smirk fading slightly. She knows Alice - the kid without a sense of reality. Oh well.]
[He sees that smirk fading and can,t help but be amused by her reaction. It's not like he's going to tell her if he' been trying or not to ask Jessie on a date.]
I did met her. [And he managed then to get himself roped into taking her to a masquerade ball in stead of Ezio. Splendid. Are you jealous of all the attention the little blond gets, Izzy?]
She's a child, I guess most people would find her endearing.
Long enough. Having fun?

Over two weeks is a normal occurrence then?
[He chooses to ignore her question]

Izzy's answer seems to bring him some relief, but really, he'll stop worrying when Jessamine will be up and about.]
I turned into a bat and flew in, of course.
[He can't help but to humor her at this point, because it should be obvious that he simply climbed up to her room.]

Not exactly ladylike behaviour to have guys turn into bats and fly into their room, don't you think?

I guess then it's a good thing Jessamine's sleeping and that she's not the one that asked me to come, isn't it?
[....Wait. That came out wrong. Oh so so wrong....]

[yeah, the only thing that would result from that would be endless teasing. Not that there isn't now.] You call her a lot?

Yeah, it's kinda hard to forget it, honestly. [He gestures to her being in Jessie's room]
I had a question I thought she'd be best to give me answer for.
[Not....a lot, but sometimes, yes. Not that he'll admit it.]

I'm pretty sure everyone knows her.

I'm not exactly surprised by that, to be honest.

Yeah? If you've met her ever, you'd totally understand it.
