Vampires.

Yes. I have done what I thought I wouldn't do. I have made vampiric OCs.

Their names are Eloise and Adonis. They look like so.

Eloise works full-time as a psychatrist and part-time in a blood bank. She's the one who fetches the necessary blood for the two of them. She can get away with diseased blood for herself, because she has a strong constitution, but she needs to get clean blood for Adonis, who isn't as lucky. Yes, they can get blood-borne diseases.

Adonis is an astronomer, who had this obsession with the stars since before he became a vampire. His better night-vision helps him a lot here, but his job turns him into an almost completely noctural being in contrast to Eloise's almost completely diurnal sleeping pattern.

They are friends, nothing more. That is more than you need to know to understand this.

Untitled. Rating: PG for angst...? Really, no blood, no gore, no suicidal thoughts, nothing. Warnings for aforementioned amusing misery and for Adonis. :)

There was a painting, somewhere on a wall. It showed two people sitting on a bench before a wide calm lake. Each strand of her hair and every fibre of his clothing was depicted in beautiful detail. They looked like young lovers: her arms were around his chest, her head lay on his collarbone, turned towards the viewer; his arm was wrapped firmly around her shoulders and he leaned into her touch. Instead of the beaming smiles typical of paitings such as that one, or pleasedly solemn expressions, they both wore frowns. His was dejected, hers was lonely. Only a special someone could see certain important details. Her fingers were tense, so she looked like she was clinging on to him for dear life. Tears sparkled in her eyelashes, falling from her closed eyes. His hand held a handful of the fabric of her light dress. In the air above the two, written in elegant, cramped cursive, was: 'Adonis and Eloise'.

It really was a beautiful painting. That did not stop Adonis from dropping his lit lighter on the centuries-old piece.
