Summary: Everything on earth is magic, of some form or another. A Canadian girl named Destiny finds this out when her wish comes true and she meets the man of her dreams.
Disclaimer: I do not own The Silmarillion or any of the places, characters, or events featured therein. Destiny and the plot to this fanfiction, however, are my own. Please don't sue, as I haven't a penny to give.
Feedback: Please! Concrit especially is welcome. Flames will be taken to Himring, where they can be put to good use. It gets *cold* there, as evidenced by the name. ^.~
I'm working on the Finrod Mary-Sue story. Basically, a Sue with a horrid social life (that bares quite a resemblance to mine, though exaggerated at points) runs away when her house burns down, and runs, and runs, and falls unconscious. She becomes an Elf and is taken to Middle-earth, near Nargothrond. Finrod takes a liking to (read: pities) her and gives her room and board until she can put her life back together. She befriends Pod!Orodreth, Pod!Finduilas and Pod!Gil-galad, develops a crush on semi-pod!Finrod (who she knew allllll about. Well, except for Amarie), turns Celegorm and Curufin's hair pink and earns their antagonism, and almost forgets completely about Celebrimbor. Finrod is the only one not fully under the Sue's grasp at this point, and that is only because the C-duo hasn't yet decided he's a waste of a crown and make sure to keep him and the Sue apart as they can.
Sue manages to get drunk one night, flirts with Semi-Pod!Finrod, and earns *his* discomfort and avoidance, gets a 'Wow, the little mortal has a crush!' reaction from everyone else, a 'now she's even *more* pathetic' reaction from the C-duo, and tolerance from semi-Pod!Orodreth and semi-Pod!Gil-galad. Pod!Finduilas remains around to tell her she's messed up. Sue goes to her room to die by cutting her wrists (another Sue-cliche), not-so-pod!Orodreth interrupts her, goes 'You could do us the dignity of not cleaning up after you.', basically distracts her, then she's knocked out from behind. The C-kids kill her, bloodlessly of course, then pitch her in the Narog. To ward off any 'OMG! Dead body!'s from the mouth of the Sirion, Curufin uses a cheap dagger to pin a note to her back. Basically 'Sorry to pollute the river, but this mortal *had* to be rid of, by the request of the Valar.'
The epilogue, as such... Celegorm and Curufin waltz into Mandos' office when they die. 'Okay, so we did what you wanted, we got rid of the abomination. How quickly can you have us reborn?' Basically, they are the *real* protagonists of the story. Asked by Lord Mandos (with the additional warning that they *would* die, and how quickly would they like to get out?) at the request of Lord Lorien, the two made it a sort of game to get rid of her. They subtly snub her when in public, they threaten her with daggers in private, and they are able to convince their relatives (who are more canon the further away from her they are) to let them go about their merry ways.
The Sue's name is annoying. Since she's your classic 'North American girl bamfed into M-e', she has an English one and an Elvish one she made up on the spot.
She's Destiny Laurel-Anne Fairweather, in this timeframe, and Maranwien in M-e. Of course, the C-duo and Celebrimbor (who, being ignored, is more or less IC) are amused by this Quenya name in Beleriand where Quenya has been banned for some time. I'm not quite sure if -ien is Sindarin, Quenya, or both, though; the Elf Fetish generators, Google, and the Etymologies weren't very useful. The Sandman fan in me revolts at the thought of anyone being called Destiny besides the eldest Endless himself. ^.~
Maranwien got a score of 124 on the Universal Mary Sue Litmus Test, where the result reads:

Definitely a Mary-Sue in both cases. Although role-playing is more lenient than fanfic writing, you should defintely consider toning down some of the Mary-Sue traits.'
Either way, I wonder if anyone would review it, if I posted it without the ending which reveals it all to be a parody. Wonder if it would be GAFFed. Would sure be amusing.

Summary: Everything on earth is magic, of some form or another. A Canadian girl named Destiny finds this out when her wish comes true and she meets the man of her dreams.
Disclaimer: I do not own The Silmarillion or any of the places, characters, or events featured therein. Destiny and the plot to this fanfiction, however, are my own. Please don't sue, as I haven't a penny to give.

I'm working on the Finrod Mary-Sue story. Basically, a Sue with a horrid social life (that bares quite a resemblance to mine, though exaggerated at points) runs away when her house burns down, and runs, and runs, and falls unconscious. She becomes an Elf and is taken to Middle-earth, near Nargothrond. Finrod takes a liking to (read: pities) her and gives her room and board until she can put her life back together. She befriends Pod!Orodreth, Pod!Finduilas and Pod!Gil-galad, develops a crush on semi-pod!Finrod (who she knew allllll about. Well, except for Amarie), turns Celegorm and Curufin's hair pink and earns their antagonism, and almost forgets completely about Celebrimbor. Finrod is the only one not fully under the Sue's grasp at this point, and that is only because the C-duo hasn't yet decided he's a waste of a crown and make sure to keep him and the Sue apart as they can.
Sue manages to get drunk one night, flirts with Semi-Pod!Finrod, and earns *his* discomfort and avoidance, gets a 'Wow, the little mortal has a crush!' reaction from everyone else, a 'now she's even *more* pathetic' reaction from the C-duo, and tolerance from semi-Pod!Orodreth and semi-Pod!Gil-galad. Pod!Finduilas remains around to tell her she's messed up. Sue goes to her room to die by cutting her wrists (another Sue-cliche), not-so-pod!Orodreth interrupts her, goes 'You could do us the dignity of not cleaning up after you.', basically distracts her, then she's knocked out from behind. The C-kids kill her, bloodlessly of course, then pitch her in the Narog. To ward off any 'OMG! Dead body!'s from the mouth of the Sirion, Curufin uses a cheap dagger to pin a note to her back. Basically 'Sorry to pollute the river, but this mortal *had* to be rid of, by the request of the Valar.'
The epilogue, as such... Celegorm and Curufin waltz into Mandos' office when they die. 'Okay, so we did what you wanted, we got rid of the abomination. How quickly can you have us reborn?' Basically, they are the *real* protagonists of the story. Asked by Lord Mandos (with the additional warning that they *would* die, and how quickly would they like to get out?) at the request of Lord Lorien, the two made it a sort of game to get rid of her. They subtly snub her when in public, they threaten her with daggers in private, and they are able to convince their relatives (who are more canon the further away from her they are) to let them go about their merry ways.
The Sue's name is annoying. Since she's your classic 'North American girl bamfed into M-e', she has an English one and an Elvish one she made up on the spot.
She's Destiny Laurel-Anne Fairweather, in this timeframe, and Maranwien in M-e. Of course, the C-duo and Celebrimbor (who, being ignored, is more or less IC) are amused by this Quenya name in Beleriand where Quenya has been banned for some time. I'm not quite sure if -ien is Sindarin, Quenya, or both, though; the Elf Fetish generators, Google, and the Etymologies weren't very useful. The Sandman fan in me revolts at the thought of anyone being called Destiny besides the eldest Endless himself. ^.~
Maranwien got a score of 124 on the Universal Mary Sue Litmus Test, where the result reads:

Definitely a Mary-Sue in both cases. Although role-playing is more lenient than fanfic writing, you should defintely consider toning down some of the Mary-Sue traits.'
Either way, I wonder if anyone would review it, if I posted it without the ending which reveals it all to be a parody. Wonder if it would be GAFFed. Would sure be amusing.
