Dear World:

I FEEL SHITTY.

And useless, but that is mainly a consequence of feeling shitty.

In other news, graduation drama continues at school (latest news: our principal is a fucktard and the chancellor may be coming *fists of rage*) and I am ready to spork various people's eyes out at the slightest further provocation.

One of my best students tried to hand in an absolutely crap story for HER LAST PIECE OF WORK FOR ME EVER but I wouldn't take it and am making her re-write it so now she is mad at me. Fine, annoying child, I will just take back those two awards I nominated you for, shall I? Grrr. Most of the other eighth graders were kicking ass and taking names in class today -- grades close tomorrow for the eighth grade since I have to turn them in on Wednesday and I am not some kind of super-human essay grader, so my class was very focused and productive as they tried to finish up everything that they owe me. Some of them have a looooong way to go.

The rest of the day was crazy, however, because the seventh grade is absolutely batshit insane and the eighth graders are trying to finish their exit projects in science and social studies, so they were running in and out of my room all day trying to get me to help with their works cited pages or asking to use my printer. It made trying to teach rather chaotic.

The valedictorian and salutatorian speeches are finished and we have moved into the realm of practice, practice, PRACTICE. They sound awesome already -- it's a shame they're probably going to to be drowned out on the day by the endless parade of pointless speeches given by people we don't really care about anyway. Gina and I 'locked' the graduation program today -- pending the next emergency additions -- and I counted: there are going to be TEN speakers at graduation, only TWO of whom are students. Can we say BORING? Yeah.

This week already feels very long and it's only Monday night.

Finally, I am trying to watch Torchwood, but it is very slow going because I have to turn it off a lot when I get annoyed. I would not have previously thought it possible that any show could leach Captain Jack Harkness of his awesome-ness, yet TW is giving it their best effort. I have watched three episodes and thus far I mainly find it annoying.

I am excited for Captain Jack to be on next week's Who, though.

I would go try to watch more now, but as I mentioned, I FELL SHITTY, and also my tea tastes rather like soap. I don't know whether my taste buds are in revolt or whether someone did not rinse this mug adequately after washing, but it tastes disgusting. So now I need to go eat something to get the hideous taste of soap-y tea out of my mouth and hopefully that will not provoke a full-scale revolt from my stomach.

those darn kids, doctor who, torchwood
