1) DEAN PICKED OUT THE IMPALA. DEAN/IMPALA OTP!!1!
2) MARY IS A BADASS. Okay, I am slightly disappointed that she is not an evil Jedi. BUT SHE IS A HUNTER. AND A BADASS. AND SHE WILL DO ANYTHING TO SAVE HER FAMILY JUST LIKE DEAN SO DEAN IS JUST LIKE HER.
3) Young!John was totally goony. Such a nice, polite, well-spoken boy WHO IS SECRETLY A BADASS. SAM IS SO HIS FATHER'S SON, IT IS NOT EVEN FUNNY. STOP TRYING TO TELL ME THAT DEAN IS A JOHN KNOCK-OFF, SHOW, CLEARLY SAM IS HIS FATHER, ONCE MORE, WITH FEELING AND SUPERPOWERS.
4) Mary wanted to be normal. She wanted a life without the guns and the hunting and the fear. BUT SHE CANNOT TURN HER BACK WHEN IT'S TIME FOR SAVING PEOPLE. MARY. ILU. SERIOUSLY.
5) DEALS WITH DEMONS ARE A WINCHESTER FAMILY TRADITION. WINCHESTERS. HOW ARE YOU SO AWESOME AND YET SO SERIOUSLY FUCKED UP?!!
5a) When considered collectively, the Winchester family breaks the awesomeness chart. And then kicks demonic ass with its remains.
6) DEAN WAS NAMED AFTER HIS GRANDMOTHER.
7) SAM WAS NAMED AFTER HIS GRANDFATHER. DRESSING UP LIKE PRIESTS IS ALSO A FAMILY TRADITION.
8) AZAZEL'S PLAN STILL MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE. HE IS STILL AWESOME LIKE AN AWESOME THING.
9) The title of the episode was "In the Beginning." THE FIRST WORDS IN THE GOSPEL OF JOHN \o/ (kroki_refur noticed this one first!)
10) DANIEL ELKINS. THE COLT. JOHN'S JOURNAL. DEAN'S JACKET. THE IMPALA. *dies*
11) Dean is not at all disturbed to wake up on a park bench. He is more confused that his cell phone does not get service.
12) Dean does not notice he is in 1973 until he makes a Sonny and Cher joke and nobody gets it.
13) THE CAMPBELLS ARE THE CLEAVERS OF THE HUNTING WORLD. Sam is a growly curmudgeon. Deanna uses her mad knife skills to chop bananas. Mary has a cute charm bracelet of protective symbols. They all sit around the kitchen table cleaning guns. IT IS ALL VERY DOMESTIC AND AWESOME.
14) JOHN TOOK MARY TO THE DINER FOR A MILKSHAKE. IT'S LIKE THEY'RE FROM KANSAS OR SOMETHING.
15) THE WINCHESTER FAMILY CAR WAS ALMOST A VW VAN. TAKE A MOMENT TO CONTEMPLATE THAT.
16) CASTIEL HAS SERIOUS ISSUES WITH PERSONAL SPACE. HE MOVES PEOPLE AROUND IN TIME WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT. AND HE POPS UP OUT OF NOWHERE IN A TOTALLY CREEPY WAY.
17) DEAN DRIVING A PINTO.
18) Dean has no problem finding a priest outfit in 1973.
19) BACK TO THE FUTURE. ANGELS DRIVE DELOREANS.
20) DEAN IS ALSO KYLE REESE. OR POSSIBLY THE TERMINATOR. I'M NOT SURE.
20a) Although at least he was not sent back in time to ensure his own conception.
21) DEAN HAS TO SAVE SAM OR KILL HIM. IT IS THE WILL OF JOHN GOD.
