Goodness and sweetness and kindness abound in this place
I am bored and doing homework, so I figured I might as well ramble here. WHY THE HELL NOT. It's mostly about RP stuff, so, you know... it's not really important. But I'm bored.
Miriam is such an awkward thing. It really should not amuse me as much as it does. She's one of my favourite characters, and I'm not sure if that's just because she's the first one I really developed for this universe, or because of how much time I spent developing her. Like, in almost everything I do, I'm relating it to another part of her life. Her conversation with Zera about the butterfly? When her first pet died--it was a kitten she fished out of the gutter that died two hours later--the first one to comfort her was Ansel. She was probably somewhere between four and seven. He tried to be sympathetic because homahgah it's his granddaughter and he loves her, but then he basically said "Don't cry, you didn't have it very long anyway and it was bound to die soon." HAHAHA. Ansel wasn't allowed to comfort children after that.
I also like to draw parallels between Miriam, and Nida and Elijah. Miriam takes strongly after Elijah in looks and personality, although she does have bits of Nida in her face, and her body structure. It's not something you can show with Sims, but I imagine both Miriam and Nida as these short little frames, with solid limbs, wide hips, and slender shoulders. A bit pear-shaped, I guess? Although not tiny busts. In my head, Elijah's medium height with an average build yet is still somehow awkward, and all knobbly and awkward. Trinity was basically the only non-awkward person in that family. And now she's dead. But at least her android replica is also not awkward.
Nida's all adorable and shy and stuff, and Miriam takes after that, too. I think I diagnosed Nida with some sort of anxiety disorder that Miriam also has, but I can't find any notes. So I should re-research that. Also, they're both insanely ticklish.
Eden and Nida became friends around middle school, Eden was friends with Elijah from an early age, and she basically decided they had to meet because it would be cute. While she wanted to set them up, she didn't push them together, because she knew that'd basically destroy their chances with each other, so she recommended Nida for a job at Ansel's shoppe. Elijah was immediately smitten with her, but showed it in an awkward way. Like, by being alternately horrible and nice to her. I have this long pre-dating and dating history in my head for them, so yeah. Yeah.
They were both really good friends of Eden's, and she misses them terribly. I don't think I mentioned, and it's not like it's terribly important, but she has some sort of secretarial job. She worked at a huge company before her childrens were born, had an affair with her boss, accepted the money he gave her to take care of Aiden and Felicity (which was basically "Oh god shut up about who fathered those children" money), thought there was a good chance he would leave his wife for her, was horribly HORRIBLY disappointed, and got fired while she was pregnant with Felicity. Of course, she's really, REALLY good at her job, and without her, the company went under. Eden's really good at going into a job and making herself an integral part of the system without seeming like it.
So yeah I think I'm done ranting for now. [Fuck IP homework]
