I am no longer a human being. This place has robbed me of my last remnants of humanity. I am no better then the creature. No better at all.

Why would this be forced upon me? The dead must stay dead. How can no one here know this?

Actually, it does. We aren't in the normal universe. You're already dead. This is more like.. like a dream than living.. or, a nightmare, I guess.

You created something, it killed people, and now you're traumatized for the rest of your days by the guilt? Is that it?

If one were to summarise it so blithely, than yes. Yes, indeed.

I appreciate your guilt and angst, as trite as they are.. I really do. It's just that you're not going to get anywhere if you don't try and do anything. You'll never make amends, you'll never invite something better, and you'll never see what you could have been.

What do you know of such things? Have you experienced the same loss, the same weight in knowing that it was all due to your cause?

It probably is.. but listen, people get over it and move on. I mean, really, the fact that you feel so guilty is probably a pretty solid symptom of your humanity.
