lists galore. and omfg- a subject that actually relates to the post?!
i hate thinking that 2 weeks from today will be the last day i can stay up as late as i want and know it doesn't matter because i can sleep in as long as i want the next day. the next day will be school eve. fun. with that being said, i want to reminisce about summer. no, not this summer. last summer. randomly remembering stuff about it, and i found some papers/notebooks in the other room. every lj-cut deserves a story. you will get many.
i'll begin with approximately one year ago. one year ago tomorrow actually, august 17 we went to the cape. until august 23rd. i only remember that because i brought home about 30 bouncy balls and said i'd give them to brian as his birthday present. anyway, the cape was full of good times. i shared a room with tani, my guitar, her bass, and FINGERMAN! ooh baby. i don't remember where i was going with this. ohh wait yes i do, last years "summer cd" i guess you'd call it. remember, this was the point where we wanted to do our band or whatever.. i chose all the songs, minus the ones julia chose which will be noted.. and it was burned sometime between august 3-16, 2003. i'm thinking it was somewhere around the 10th. anyway, the tracklisting and such:
1. Blink 182- Adam's Song ..wicked easy song, this was one we wanted to learn for the band
2. Blink 182- All The Small Things ..see above
3. MxPx- Punk Rawk Show ..i think this was suggested by me, and we wanted to learn it
4. MxPx- Doing Time ..julia suggested it, another we were gonna learn
5. Jimmy Eat World- Sweetness ..my suggestion for something to learn, because i loved this song. and still do
6. Rancid- Fall Back Down ..julias suggestion. this was the final of songs we wanted to learn.
7. Starting Line- This Ride ..other than there is, this was my favorite song in the world. totally summer. totally needed to be on it
8. Dashboard Confessional- Hands Down ..i'm pretty sure this was acoustic. i only have the tracklisting in front of me so i don't know, but acoustics better
9. Something Corporate- Punk Rock Princess ..sucker for soco?
10. MxPx- Responsibility ..i then decided there was too much mxpx, but i liked this song and wanted it on here
11. Blink 182- Going Away To College ..was quite possibly my favorite song on enema of the state
12. Finch- Stay With Me ..this was my favorite song ever, right after this ride.

18. Less Than Jake- Gainsville Rock City ..one of the few songs i knew that wasn't off of anthem. i hearted it

20. Our Lady Peace- Somewhere Out There ..such a summer song
21. Blink 182- What Went Wrong ..it was my favorite song in the world until BCR came around. still loved it though
22. Brand New- Seventy Times 7 ..i loved this song. i bought the cd august 5th or 6th maybe? i dunno, the first week that i was home
23. Bowling For Soup- Punk Rock 101 ..julia told me to add it. i liked it

...the bold ones are the "pfft, i so got jacqui into these bands because of this cd" jacqui and whoever else may have had it. haha, but yeah believe it or not not too many people knew who any of the bolded bands were last summer. i want to bold dashboard, but that might be pushing it.
now, i also burned ANOTHER cd. because cam told us he wanted us to learn some incubus song, and this was after i burned that. but it was still before i left for the cape, so just a couple days later. i also wanted the brand new cd, so i downloaded as much of it as i could find (kazaa sucked last summer) and the one song i couldn't get i put a random song there. so err, yeah. lets see.

..no more cd track listings. i'd like to think this page was made while in the cape. because it says "pakawnakut" quite a few times and that was the street we stayed on. it also has the words access denied and simply amused all over. yes, i was still obsessed with the simply amused thing. and it also had 5 names i decided were cool/the best (i decided these at camp.. so july 20-aug 3 maybe?) ..travis aaron, trevor allan, geoffrey connor, chad william, and peter joshua. peter joshua has been a favorite name since 1st grade.
so back on topic of the cape.. fingerman. me and tani even planned to write a story about it and it was gonna be love/comedy/horror because they never have that combo because they sort of cancel each other out. regardless, fingerman was amazing. there was a finger in my closet (not real..) stuck to the wall as a hook. very creepy and stuff. we ended up making a bio/overview of the story but never wrote a story.
"Plot- Fingerman- an ugly human beast creature that turns into a coyote every full moon. Yet he lost a finger in his back-up home, and is very confused without it. His back-up home happens to be a summer vacation spot.. neither the vacationers nor fingerman know though. Ava and family are vacationing at F.M.'s home.. and Ava meets a boy named Dick <-The love part.. horror is the whole F.M. + Ava thing.. the comedy is all the screw-ups"
what the fuck were we on? this naturally brings me into another related topic, a week or two after getting home, while i was searching mp3.com for some good bands, i find a band named FINGERMAN. it was amazing. super low voice, played piano, only did covers (nirvana to briney spears). spitalfield's purevolume actually has a song (the baritone man one) and he sounds remarkably like fingerman. i'd love for them to be the same guy. anyway, onto more cape stories.

july 11th. movielife concert at lupos. old lupos > new lupos. but i had this paper with me, and the car ride up i was complaining about "man on september 6th theres a concert with dashboard, mxpx, brand new, and vendetta red. i love brand new, and mxpx. and that song by vendetta red is awesome. and dashboards pretty good. i want to go and then get a brand new and an mxpx shirt!" annie said she'd get dashboard and mxpx shirts. i continued with "but its the same day as a free less than jake concert. i probly won't go to either. oh well" ..i never went to either.
the final thing i would like to add about last summer/the cape, was my rugrats notebook. i bought it at a flea market. for a dollar. this was probly august 19ish? i made a list of the top 10 cds i needed to buy. this is my final list, i promise.

last night i went to the carny with alex, aly, jacqui, mark, pat, jake and chris. well, it sucked and was super expensive so we went to friendlys instead. then chris wanted to go on the zipper.. we got there at 8:30 and everything was closed. effing thing was sposed to close at 9. whatever. alex dumped mark too. come the 28th and they would have been together for a year. but it was a good move in my opinion..
the real question is should i bother going to sleep tonight? the real answer is yes. i'll wake up at like, 2:30. go sleep at 8:30 or so. maybe. edit: i hate when my parents catch me up at this hour
