the small writing makes me entries look smaller
ha, i finally updated my walls a bit. and by that i mean during a commercial break of i love the 90s i put up another blink poster, and magazine cut outs of the bled and fall out boy. then the washing machine shut up, and i put the stuff in the dryer and by then the show was back on. and for the past few days i've been making playlists of bands i wanted to listen to.. meaning "take everything i have on this computer by this/these band/bands and put it on a playlist". so tuesday/wednesday i had letter kills, from first to last, name taken, days away and recover. wednesday/thursday i had finch.. 51 songs haha, and thursday/friday (tonight) i have jimmy eat world, the early november, and jamisonparker. everytime i listen to jew i like them more. and jim adkins is one of the best singers.. hes the underdog i always forget when making lists<33
anyway.. you know how i mentioned before about when i make plans i'm usually really obsessive compulsive with them? well.. ARGGH effing bullshit. it just deleted it. remind me never to accidently click on the not simple viewing page update thingy again? but basically, its my plans for christmas. i'll try to put this in short: rosie randomly brought up how she loves christmas, so i thought of the idea of having a summer christmas, and we'll all meet up and hang out or whatever. she said i was a genious, haha. so of course we never brought it up to anyone.. but i asked jacqui and ashley, and they said they'll do it. so heres what i/we pretty much came up with (if this thing didn't delete my convo, it'd be easier, but i'll try to remember everything that was mentioned):
-it needs to be christmas in july. so we only have this month to do it.
-EDIT: can't be july 23rd. rosie won't be home. its gonna be the 28th. maybe aly and them can be involved..
-i am so making a birthday cake. why birthday? because that sounds much more un-lame than christmas cake. jacqui wants it for her, but her birthdays on real christmas not summer christmas. if its gonna be a birthday cake for anyone, it would be to honor my hero's 21st birthday. also: to honor the start of finchs first tour since god knows when. odd coincidence right there. if all goes well the 23rd is going to be a very happy day for me. ..EDIT: the 28th. so if anyone gets the birthday cake, it will be me. for my 13 and 1/3 birthday.
-its gonna be like a secret santa thing: we will choose names sometime between today and tuesday. on friday we will be going to ashleys, jacquis, or somewhere else to exchange gifts.
-its summer, and we all need our money. so just buy nice cheap things. everyone can be involved in jess's summer christmas<3
hm. can't quite remember what else i was going to say. ohh, well i guess i could talk about my schedule. i don't think i posted anything in here about it. but for electives they put me in graphic arts I (design, print, and publication) and graphic arts I (screen print photography. both say that they're only available for grades 10, 11, and 12. so, me not signing up for either and not entering 10th, 11th or 12th grade i had my mom call up the school to see whats up. i dunno where it is right now, i gave it to my mom last so hopefully she knows where it is.. but anyway: "apparently a lot of people had that problem with wrong classes, so they checked what was wrong, and everything else was overly filled. but they're like an intro to art class." -quoting my mom, except mostly in my words. i'll give some detail at the end of the cut. but first:
okay, well i'm (half) kidding when i say that. but my mom came downstairs 1-2 days ago telling me about what she saw on the news.. it was something about how osama plans on attacking sometime before election day (early november) by using nuclear weapons brought in suitcases. this news could only be shown on fox news because everything else has their restrictions or whatever. but, then she got to "they said that the nuclear wastes could kill everyone within 80 miles in 2 weeks. no, actually i think the range was 160 miles. and this year they're holding the democratic convention in boston! we're within that range [about 45 miles away]. so theres a chance that this could happen. now, i want you to read this.." and she opens up the bible. first, let me assure you my mom is way too religious to make something like that up. now, let me quote.. its err, psalm 91, 1-8:
"those who live in the shelter of the most high will find rest in the shadow of the almighty. this i declare of the lord: he alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my god, and i am trusting him. for he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from the fatal plague. he will shield you with his wings. he will shelter you with his feathers. do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor fear the dangers of the day, nor dread the plague that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. but you will see it with your eyes; you will see how the wicked are punished."
and then she continued about how well that verse fit what she just explained. and went on about 'this was written thousands of years ago..yada yada'.
kinda strange huh.. but i'll now type out the descriptions this book has of the graphic arts classes. then if im still not dead tired- type out something else =) different entry though.
Graphic Arts I 757 College Preparatory Grades 10, 11, 12
Design, Print, and Publication Semester 2.5 Credits
Design, Print, and Publication will focus on the basics of design and printing process, including pre-print production and finishing procedures for a variety of products. Each student will design and create letterheads, business cards, business forms, note pads, and assigned production operations. Use of Desktop Publishing techniques will be central in the design of all print assignments.
Graphic Arts I 758 College Preparatory Grades 10, 11, 12
Screen Print Photography Semester 2.5 Credits
Screen process printing will be the major production process covered in this course. Students will be required to produce both poster and textile print products. Single-color and multicolor products will be created through the use of computer-aided designs. Photography is the other major focus of this course. Students will be required to compose, process, and print photographs using 35 mm and digital cameras.
...well, those can't be too bad. the 2nd one can only mean photo passes for bands i love. correct? and the first one can only mean ability to create better than 100% handmade shirts for bands i love. hmm.,
